We are writing to inform you about a few details regarding this year's early happenings for Descend.

Please note:
  • Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 5 pm we will be at Silver Moon Brewing in Bend, for our pre-party. Everyone (21+) is invited and welcome to join, but the space in their parking lot is limited to about 50 vehicles, first come first serve. If you are planning on spending the night, please arrive early and know that it will be bumper-to-bumper parking through the night. If you do not intend to spend the night, please utilize street parking, as you will not be able to get out.
  • Autobahn Coffee will be on-site with the sickest coffee bus the next morning, slinging fresh brewed coffee to everyone, on us. (Some of you may really need it.)
  • Gates at camp will be open Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10 am. Arrive alive, don't drink and drive.
  • Tickets are still available, and are for sale at
  • Humans over 16 years of age will each require a ticket for entry.
  • Kids under 16 enter free of charge.
  • If you volunteered to help, we are currently scheduling you and organizing logistics. Expect shifts to go out early next week. Thanks for your patience!
  • More emails with more info to follow, we cannot thank you all enough for the level of stoke being sent our way for this year's gathering.

Registration Now Open!

The time has come. Registration below!

Please note:
  • Children under 16 have free entry.
  • Humans over 16 years of age will each require a ticket for entry.
  • Kid's Pack is a limited run of kid's sticker sheets, and shirts to help us get better numbers for the kids' merch that ran out prematurely last year.
  • The camp vibes will descend heavier than ever this year. We cannot properly express our gratitude for your support in words and cannot wait to share what we have in store for this year!

September 27-30, 2018

Descend 2018 is coming.

And we need your help.

Before we can open registration, we've had to admit to ourselves that this campout has grown in ways we never imagined, and can no longer handle on our own.

Descend would be nothing without you, the people, who continue to show year after year. We're so incredibly grateful to have reached this tipping point where we need to ask you for help. Rather than trying to organize the countless volunteers coming up and asking how they can help on the ground, we've decided to try and add some order to the chaos by organizing a sign-up sheet and volunteer schedule.

To thank everyone selected as a volunteer for their commitment to making Descend happen, each volunteer will receive a special edition staff shirt especially designed for this year's volunteers, and an early registration window to make sure that everyone who wants to volunteer can actually register and make it to Descend.

Please follow the link below to our Volunteer Sign-up Form. The registration check-in team has the most spots, as we're trying to make entry into Descend quicker and more efficient. We're also looking for medical professionals to help us with shifts at the Medical Tent.

Thank you to all for all that you do to make Descend happen. We can't wait to see you out there.

September 27 - 30, 2018

We are beyond excited to announce the dates for 2018 Descend!

We've already started work for the anniversary of our fifth year, and are leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to make this the best Descend yet.

More to come!

We'll have early registration coming soon, and volunteer sign-up's coming up as well. Descend would never happen without the help of all the fine folk who show up to work year after year, and we're psyched to make it official for everyone who's ever offered a helping hand to join us in throwing Descend Cinco.

For now, keep an eye out for more to come!

  • Descend Cinco will be held Thursday, September 27 - Sunday, September 30.
  • Exact location and details to follow.

Dear friends,

Just a few reminders as Descend is upon us!

Date: Thursday, October 5 through Sunday, October 8

Pre-Descend Block Party begins Wednesday October 4th at Silver Moon Brewing at 24 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend, OR 97701. They've wrangled together some live music, port-a-potties and spaces for us to park the night away. We'll all be caravaning out to Outback Station together Thursday morning.

Location: Outback Station

 76231 OR-31, La Pine, OR 97739

October 5 - 8, 2017

Bring plenty of food and drinking water. There is tap water available if needed, along with hot showers. This is the high desert, and you will be thirsty.

  • Current weather shows mostly sunny days, high's of 65-70 degrees F and nights drop to 30-40 degrees. Definitely an improvement over last year's storm of the century, but pack accordingly!
  • If you haven't yet seen the shirts for this year, take a look at the art up top! Hand-drawn by David Powell. We'll have a small number of extra Unisex Adult shirts available if you didn't register at the Treat Yourself! level. Limited number of Kids' shirts available this year as well.
  • Hot showers are available at Descend as well. We ran out of pre-sale shower tokens, but they'll still be the same price. $5 per shower, price set by the landowners/shower-owners, 100% going straight to them.
  • This is a family-centric event. If you feel the need to enjoy yourself by tripping balls on hard drugs, kindly find another forest to hang out in.
  • Dogs are OK, so long as you have a leash, and you pick up their ish.(Plenty of room for them to run free out near that big hole in the ground just a quarter mile away)
  • Please tread lightly. You will need to pack out what you pack in, as trash service is not provided. If not, we will be handing out 15-gallon trash bags for everyone to fill to the brim and take home with them.
  • Port-a-potties however will be provided!
  • Space is first-come-first-serve, so if you're looking to camp together with friends, or in a group you'll want to arrive as early as possible. That being said, Descend is a great place to make new friends, so we'd like to encourage you to do so.
  • We'll be planting 300 trees this year with ONDA, so come early if you want to get hands-on! Literally handing a tree to the first 300 people.
  • Just like last year, every living person will need to sign a waiver to enter. Apparently camping in your vehicles, intentionally driving on dirt roads, up off-camber ramps, and launching 30 year old vans are something of a liability.
  • That being said, always plenty of all-ages fun, and we'll be sending out more information on the plethora of activities for all. Hydro Flask and Silver Moon Brewing will be back for their annual scavenger hunt, and they'll be giving out some pretty sick custom-made Hydro Flasks if you find a token on Saturday. True Pints and 6-packs will be sold on the cheap again as well.
  • Lastly, don't forget your super secret salsa recipes for the salsa-off, and favorite camp meals for the potluck!
More to come,
